Tanner Davenport is a dedicated music industry professional and advocate for diversity and inclusion in country and folk music. As Co-Director of Black Opry, he works to amplify the voices of Black artists and fans, fostering greater representation and equity within these genres. A graduate of Belmont University, Tanner has committed his career to breaking barriers and expanding opportunities for historically underrepresented talent.

In recognition of his leadership and impact, Tanner was selected for the Academy of Country Music’s 2025 LEVel Up: Lift Every Voice program, which develops rising industry leaders dedicated to advancing diversity and inclusion. His work with Black Opry has been instrumental in creating spaces for Black musicians and audiences in country music, helping to reshape industry narratives and expand access to key opportunities.

Beyond his advocacy, Tanner has extensive experience in artist management and development, playing a key role in supporting emerging talent. His work with singer-songwriter Joy Oladokun has contributed to significant career milestones, including a cover feature in Nashville Scene and a debut performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium.

With a deep understanding of the music industry and a steadfast commitment to progress, Tanner continues to drive meaningful change. His leadership and strategic vision are helping to build a more inclusive and representative future for country and folk music.
