Born and raised outside Houston, but now based in Nashville, Denitia’s southern heritage forms a canvas for her evolving musical portrait. After releasing her critically acclaimed album Highways in October 2022, funding from the Equal Access program was able to help her film a music video for her powerful song "I Want To Live", which premiered on CMT, and played on their Times Square Billboard. The funding was also able to help her press the album on vinyl and print merch, the sales of which now serve as a revenue source for her. She was also able to use the funding to record her next album, Sunset Drive, releasing in 2024. While in the program, she was named a 2024 CMT Next Woman of Country, and was invited to make her Grand Ole Opry debut in June of 2024. We also helped her secure several live shows throughout the year, including Bluebird Cafe, City Winery, AB's Labor Day Block Party, and more. She was a 2023 Official Americanafest Showcasing Artist, and played 7 shows over 5 days during that week. She has also become a CMA Member, ACM Member, and member of The Recording Academy.
